    Grinding is when there's a stat wall to overcome that you won't reach going from a to b without beating up a lot of monster X, it makes it so the developer doesn't need to take the time to place and balance encounters along the way. It's alright when the game is designed around it, see PSO, Monster Hunter, Soul Sacrifice, TES, MMOs, etc.

    Well the Lunars would be a bad example since they are actually very well balanced. They pretty much allow you to just loosely play through the game at a fun pace imo.

    Edit: Lord of Pirates last post was pretty on point.
    Bad media connoisseur and frequent avatar changer.

    Yeah the PS1 versions are the definitive versions imo. Still the SCD ones are worth playing.
