A local chain here that has had some closings (new owner recently and running it into the ground but that's neither here nor there) ended up moving all their better stock to other locations. I did end up getting some original Xbox goodies for a pittance since no one cares about that crap.

It rocks if you want cheap games. Almost the entire library is cheap at eBay/store prices. I now have most of the more valuable games too (figure may as well get these now, while interest is so minimal) but I probably won't bother with Futurama.

I think there are only about 10 games that are in the $50 or more range for the original XBOX which really isn't that bad. I actually don't have Futurama or Jurassic Park myself, but I can console myself with my copy of Steel Battalion.

And in some cases like Outrun 2006, the PS2 version is much cheaper.

Of the pricier original Xbox games the two I like the most are Jurassic Park (well I am DinoDerek) and Call of Cthulhuhultlu. Operation Genesis is one of my Top 50 all time games and im a big JP fan in general. Being able to play it on the 360 years ago was great. The PC version is certainly the way to go long term with all the mods etc. It always amazed me the prices on those. I got boxed PC copy a little after its release for $20 and the Xbox version was a Family Video rental closeout for $5. You can get the PC version for free on a couple sites if I remember.

Off topic, but I never find any used Xbox 360 games in great shape. The discs are 8/10 scratched to hell.

Call of Cthulhu is also a PC port isn't it? The original Xbox got a number of PC port type games

Correct. The PC version came about 6 months later.
