Crazy times indeed.
Basically the entire surge has lined up with covid lockdown and the stimulus. I think some things will stay high but stuff like ps3 hardware will go back down.
VP had some low points under $100 but it's been awhile. Fantastic game, I recommend playing it one way or another of you haven't.
Bad media connoisseur and frequent avatar changer.
It is a good game. I played it at least a half a dozen times. Never played it on PSP or Mobile.
Not that I'm aware of. I've heard demo discs shouldn't be trusted, which is plausible seeing as I discovered the problem myself with Jade Empire's bonus disc.
But yeah, if your system is soft-modded just download games from the "HDD Ready" set you can find on the net. Which is frankly easier than spending hours dumping your own games.
I was mostly just doing the obligatory "OMG prices" post. Sort of half joking. I still love collecting especially for the Saturn. Ill never stop. It would probably be somewhat selfish to get too mad at pricing. Like a lot of people on here, I/we bought and still own games that we paid a tiny fraction of what they are now worth. We can bash the prices but we all smile a bit seeing that we have said game in collection. Of course it works in the total opposite direction if we either sold something back in the day too low or need a game thats shot up. Kinda gotta take the good with the bad and appreciate what you have.
Although finding stuff in the wild isn't likely anymore I still seem to here and there. Got a lot with Tomba CIB for PS1 in it last week for $100. The lot included probably 20 games, mostly low end but more than easily made the game free. Also got an N64 lot with Rat Attack boxed in it a few weeks ago. So its fun getting some random stuff off Facebook marketplace or Craigslist still.
Well, it's not a world ending issue. Your disc drive obviously still works so you can just shove Splinter Cell/007/Mechwarrior in and redo the softmod. Or if you've wisely moved onto some decent dash like XBMC which is more of a pain to redo, the softmod installer has a softmod backup/restore options. If you have your dash backed up right now, you can restore your softmod in moments.
So I just saw this, it was the Umi disc at 1200 (although best offer)
I have all 3 variants (and I swear Vic said all 3 have the same exact production run...).
I dont know if I want to be that guy but if someone wanted to pay me $1000 or anywhere close for just my Umi disc Id probably do it. I dont need all of the variants and I can totally use that 1000 towards probably 10-12 Saturn games I need.
Not sure I could bring myself to actually listing it on Ebay. Maybe Ill give my friend that has a shop it. I dont know definitely considering it at this point.
Might also be time to dump my sealed copy of Magic Knight Rayearth. Just no need for it.
