In retrospect a lot of games haven't gone up too much if you factor what they were on launch, and just adding like $10 a year to 2021. lol.

    Inflation be damned!

I sold my Earthbound box and guide, no game in rough shape in 2015 I think for $300, today its closer to $800+.

My all time favorite, Valkyrie Profile, was hovering around $100 for like 15+ years, now its $250-$300. Worth every damn penny, but still.
I remember you selling that Earthbound box at the time and being bummed I missed it since my copy is loose too!

Valkyrie Profile is one of those games I still really want but it's hard for me to stomach current prices. I had been waffling about pulling the trigger for a long time but figured the price would drop more as time went on because of the PSP version. I was clearly wrong lol. At least I was smart to finish off my WD variants years ago, seeing stuff like Rayearth at like $600 a pop would have totally made me drop the the idea of getting all the variants back then.

God bless emulation and digital distribution. I'm getting tired of all this.

So it's not even retro but Shantae and the Pirate's Curse for Switch is insanely expensive now. I have no idea why but the standard is around $250 and the limited edition is close to $2000, which is just absolutely nuts to me.

Feel like that has to do more with the modern collector. Pokemon games will always be more nostalgic and collectable than a freakin' Shantae game on Switch.

I hate LRG's business model so much, I hate that there is nothing I can do about it even more.

I rather they go preorders for all games moving forward. None of X release is limited, Y release is preorders.

    That'd at least be fair.
Really I don't know why the don't just do production on order or something, that way it's TECHNICALLY limited, and it allows everyone who wants it to get it and they get money.
