I hate the idea of getting good at a fighting game and a patch coming along and making you have to nearly start over because they altered the way the characters play.

That's one of the reasons that I posted this here. It's insane that these games are so incomplete before release.

It's a good reason to never pay full price at launch when you're buying a fighter.

Well, MvCI is a terrible game. Nothing like the old games at all. You can just spam auto-combo square button to win fights but the real game mechanics (without using that) are really unbalanced. I just ordered Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2 to play instead.

I am digging the Darkstalkers Resurrection though. I'm kinda amazed at how techincal some of the moves and combos are. Some of it's hard to pull off without an arcade stick.

It's pretty much the same game through all 3 (5) iterations, with some new characters and music / stages, so yeah. By Vampire Savior (Darkstalkers 3) it is much more refined and has really fast combat which is its major difference from the others. I personally hare charge moves but can seem to do pretty well without them even when characters have them.

I never redeemed a single UltraViolet code I got, or any of that ****. That stuff is all DRMed up the ass, it's literally worse than free stuff I can pull off Google. So it's not worth a second of my time.
