I can't stand most of the N64 library. Between the graphics and the control pad...
No kidding. At least the PS1 and Saturn have some games that still look good. The N64 only has awful 3D for almost the entire library.
More importantly for me as well, almost all N64 games fail the am I having fun test.
I like how we all got on this tangent when I meant the artwork LRG used for a cover. This monstrosity
Someone should be fired yesterday for that.

He's so buff.
Yeah Im not sure the point of that artwork from LRG. The stand alone art is fine but an artwork that contains 2 carts lol
Like most games of that era it could be nostalgia playing a part however I do like Turok 1 quite a bit. I loved it back in the day and thought it might ruin it playing it again now but I enjoyed it just as much playing it last year. The fog never bothered me. I was nuts about FPS on console back then (the small amount we had) so that certainly played a part.
Honestly if you just took the US Saturn library you could argue it being as good as the N64s. Most people think the system only exists if you import but taken as such I could argue them head to head.
However the N64 always holds a place in my heart. I liked the blurry ish 3D graphics it had back in the day. However it was a system with not too much depth or quantity. It had a lot of quriky platformers. But again to me it was the first of the 3 modern consoles at the time to handle FPS games very easily. Although Saturn had the Lobotomy trilogy and couple others, N64 fps games were the first to run well and have successful split screen multiplayer.
So to me the N64 growing up had some of favorites for me that weren't the Marios. Bomberman 64, Extreme G, the FPS games, the Wrestling games... Blast Corp was an all time favorite. Underrated and unique. But the king to me and my favorite game on the console will always be Doom 64. A game that I would safely say is in my Top 10 of all time too.
