I'd like to know a real number. I have a slight feeling it'll be tweeked to suit them not doing a preorder again. Twitter is saying Monday/tuesday. So perhaps they'll say something.

That's a toss up. Might run off some of the scalpers but it gains more people that don't want to deal with the usual bloodbath.

I've said they need to offer a higher number for the music. It feels like the same "must sell out in 30 seconds" goal rather than anything else.

They have always said that their will slow the releases this fall, I don't see a lie there. And now they're kinda forced to, due to the ESRB thing.

The other two, yeah. Someone could debate those with semantics, but you're right.

I was very happy that they went with this method. It ensured that I could get a copy of a good game.

Yeah but unfortunately it seems like LRG wasn't happy with it and it won't happen again. I say seems, we will see if LRG comments on it some more in the coming days.

I expect the number was sufficient, but I'm with Gyp on this. I'm fairly sure they want(ed) it to not do well.

The quality part is highly debatable bordering on outright BS. And the scope is one of the major complaints, they release way too much, and a lot of it is still of suspect quality. Even when a title garners interest, they either pull a stunt like last weeks Lili, make the game 15 dollars more expensive for nothing; do what they did with night trap, make like ten different versions including some yellow edition that may or may not exist,and if it does requires 40 tickets (for the maths involved 1 ticket per game, so you need to spend an absurd amount of money to even get enough tickets ~1,200.00 assuming 24.99 plus shipping ); or pull that crap where they stick a game no one wants in a bundle that they do. And there shopping cart system has been broken since day one. And they are also notorious for loose discs (and this is on them because it seems to happen with every title, and often multiple people, in comparison for similar run disc based game I haven't heard the same issue with the ps3 version of COH that Vic put out).

Basically LRG went from the hip indie band to the coldplay/weezers of the world. Its true what they say you either die being a hero or live long enough to become the villain. This applies to basically every gaming company. Bioware used to be the darling of the gaming world, and now they quietly shelved the second mass effect trilogy after one game. Even CD Projekt is only a matter of time before they start to receive the same treatment if its not already happening.

That said I bought a YS ps4 ce, a regular ps4 ys, a regular vita ys, and one ps4 copy of the other rpg.

Me liking the company and liking specific games are two different things. I can have my cake and eat it too.

I also finally managed to get a copy of wonder boy ce on ebay. Only missing strafe now.

I don't disagree with most of this, but just having certain games come out in physical form is enough for me if the other option was to not have them at all. Sure there are a lot of seemingly $1 mobile titles for 24.99 but who cares? Unless it takes away from better stuff sure.

I guess I just don't invest myself in caring about their drama and just buy the stuff when its released. I understand if you get caught up in it and follow their twitter its easy to rail them, but I don't care anymore. I buy, I play. I got too wrapped up in how they handled the Darius vinyl for no reason. Sure they screwed up and handled it poorly on the PR side, but why waste my time blasting them.

As far as things like needless bundles. Who really cares? They can do whatever they want. The Night Trap stuff? All I see is that I have 2 physical copies coming (LE and regular), not how they handled it. Yeah I wanted the 32x cover that seemingly disappeared but oh well. Im just here to buy their stuff, worrying about their processes is all aggravation for no reason. I agree if you follow their path to some of these releases its pretty bad at times, but the most important thing is that the stuff is actually getting printed and released to me.

That's a bold statement, my friend. Honestly, I doubt that any respectable company would want to fail to release and sell something. What I've seen is a "meh" attitude, like it neither sold bad nor it blew up the numbers they had in mind.

I remembered them presenting it differently when they first made mention of it but perhaps I'm remembering wrong? In any case, complaints aren't baseless.

Ignoring problems doesn't solve them, it lets standards slip.

Considering they were pushing people to buy full uncirculated cases for VGA grading I imagine they were hoping to sell quite a few.

Probably sold like 5,436. Some but not a lot.
