Anyone else go in on the LRG new years sale?
I tried to buy the Jak special edition set but got screwed when they changed the item URL like a minute before the game went on sale.

They even specifically said to have URLs loaded in advance and then changed them at the last minute, was super frustrating. And there was no indication about the proper URL on the page until a bit later. By the time I found the correct item (via search since it wasn't on the sale page either), they were already sold out.
I understand they did what they needed to in order to stop scalpers, but was super frustrating to deal with, I wasn't the only person having issues since apparently Josh got actual death threats over it:

Oh god no. I didn't even look at it. I'd need 2 or more games to make the shipping charge barely acceptable, and that hasn't been possible since their very first leftover sale.

Yeah I can't really understand about getting that mad about something so trivial. I do think LRG needs to up their estore game a bit though.
When you only have like 30 copies of something, you need to be creative with allowing people to purchase it without getting a shitstorm.
Not sure if Josh or Doug still read here, but here is what I would have done:
-Have people submit their email to a wishlist (google form or the like) and keep it open for like a week
-Your email must be a valid LRG account with one purchase already to be eligible (Makes it easy to filter out bulk signups)
-Then randomly choose 30 out of the list and notify them with a special hidden link they can order through or something
BAM! It is fair and makes people happy, assuming you don't have the person at LRG doing the random drawing "accidentally" only choose to select youtubers and celebrities.
When has LRG done anything that makes sense
